Fragments from a work in progress: Flight Simulation by Sebastian Schmieg
On Twitch and YouTube, gamers stream as they explore a digital copy of our world using flight simulators – some curious, others dutifully as part of virtual airlines. They are often guided by other gamers who, as air traffic controllers, are part of this networked simulation. The artist Sebastian Schmieg regularly watches them and collects impressions, some of which can be seen as a work in progress in the Panke Club.
